Day 2 no nurse

Today was the second day that Abby went to sleep without nursing.  She asked me to nurse when I was getting her ready for nap, but I had Doug read her a story and put her to bed.  I then sat with her until she fell asleep.  She didn't ask me to nurse, which I am glad because I probably would have.

Have I even posted that 'It's a Boy!'?  I hope I am not that slack as a soon to be third time mom.  This poor baby won't even get a baby book.  Any rate, I was going through my email and came across my ultrasound pictures from my 20 week scan.  Thought I should upload them.
Nice profile shot

How bad is it that I can't remember what this is a picture of?

The "money" shot

Another profile shot

I told them I didn't believe he was a boy.  So, another money shot!

No nursing today!

Today (7/27/11) Abby went to sleep for her nap without nursing and she didn't ask for it.  It is so bittersweet for me.  On the one hand, I do not want to tandem nurse and on the other I am sad for our nursing relationship to be over.  I am curious to see how tomorrow goes.  We have been talking about how she is a big girl and only babies nurse, so perhaps she decided she is a big girl.  It is weird how yesterday I felt a premonition during nursing that it was our last time.  Of course, it makes me cry as I write this...

Crappy day.

Today has been a super crappy day.  We went to the Children's Museum and it went downhill from there.  Jack was a total butthead all afternoon.  Into everything (i.e. took my deodorant and smeared it all over the wall, floor and furniture in my bedroom when he was supposed to be doing quiet time).  He broke the rod on our blinds, he tried to tear 2 pictures off the wall and to top it off, we can't find his lovey, Wilbur.  I have looked for over an hour.  I can't find him, he has had since 8 months.  It is making me crazy.  Jack had to go to bed without him (surprising well honestly), we told him we would keep looking.  I am at a loss.  The lovey doesn't leave the house, so I am clueless as to where it could be.  I honestly want to cry about it.  Sounds lame, but I love that stinky old pig too.

To add to the fun mix, Abby was up at 5:40am today, 4:40am yesterday.  For a few days she was sleeping until 6:30am, which was glorious.  I am wondering if Jack's bad behavior is due to Abby's new total sentence speaking?  He keeps yelling at her to "be quiet" and to "stop talking over him" which is driving me up the wall.  Also, BEFORE he smeared deodorant everywhere, he had taken my water bottle with jojoba oil and water in it (I use to wet Abby's cloth wipes) and cleaned my room with it and a baby wipe.  So, the deodorant thing just sent me over the edge.  I am just ready for the day to be over but I have to find the lovey or it will carry into tomorrow...

Butts!

I had to get this shot!  It was too cute to pass up.

Super Hero Camp

Jack went to the YMCA for Super Hero camp, which he hated.  But, I got some cute pictures of the parade where he looks like he is having fun...

Abby's Week!

Jack had super hero camp the week of June 27th, so Abby and I had a girls week. We went to the Children's Museum, Hippo hop and the pool.  Here are some pictures from our week.

Cleaner

He is a boy after my own heart.  Lifting up the mats to vacuum underneath.  What a dreamboat.  Some girl is going to be very lucky.

Abby's 2nd birthday!

We celebrated Abby's birthday as a family on her birthday.  She did have a well check that morning, I am a mean mom, what can I say?  But, she didn't have to get any shots, I delayed them until later but she did get a finger prick for iron and lead.  She passed both!  So, when we got back we did presents and then headed to Fellini's for lunch, then the yogurt tap for dessert.  We had a great time!

We got her a hula hoop, she loved it!

Jack wanted her to have her own Zhu zhu pet, he picked it out

Bugs!  Jack also got her a hexbug, which she LOVED!

A girl shovel, so hopefully they will stop fighting over shovels

Me having to tell Jack for the 117th time, these are Abby's presents
