All girl

Abby loves dress up.  So much fun.

Salon day

Abby playing with her first salon set. Jack too. Of course he wants me to put the battery in the hair dryer. So worth the $2 I spent on the set at a consignment sale last week.

Pumping

I am sitting here pumping for Abby because I will not be here tonight for bedtime.  I am going to the Gwinnett county preview consignment sale and won't be home until 9 or 10pm.  Yes, Abby is 19 months today and no, she never took a bottle.  I am pumping for two reasons.

1.  I hate to leave Doug empty handed.  At least he can offer her a sippy cup of milk tonight.

2.  I am terrified of mastitis.  I had it when she was 14 months and I have never been sicker in my life.

Jack is totally enthralled with the whole process.  His interest is very interesting.  As I finished, he told me I was running out of milk. It was pretty funny.  Then I asked if he would like some.  He said, "yep".  I gave him some and he said he liked it.  I told him it was sweet.  He told me it had sugar in it.  Such a sweet boy.

Visitors

Denny and Jane came by for a playdate and dinner!  We had a great time and went to La Fonda's for dinner.  (Thank you for dinner!!)  Jack and Abby are pretty good at a restaurant that sells cheese dip.

Jack had to explain to Grandaddy whose hat that was

Watermelon Wall

Jack LOVES watermelon.  He made a watermelon wall the other night after dinner.

And yes, that is a bow in his hair.  He can't let Abby have all the fun.

Adenoid update

We brought Abby to the ENT and they scoped her.  She hated it.  Seriously, hated it.  I don't blame her.  I would be seriously upset to have a tiny camera shoved up my nose.  Anywho, they did see that her adenoids are blocking air passage by 70-80%.  So, we are trying Nasonex (once daily) and a saline spray (few times daily) to see if we can see some improvement verse rushing to surgery.  Fingers crossed it works.

Family Bike Ride

This past weekend was beautiful, so Doug & I decided we should go for a bike ride.  I thought it would be best if Doug pulled Jack and Abby.  Together, they are about 65 pounds, not counting the trailer.  We went for a short ride, just around Decatur, over to the Mason Mill trail.  We stopped and went for a short hike.  It was at that point, I realized I didn't pack a diaper or wipes and yep, Abby pooped. So, I dumped her cloth diaper out, wiped her up with the insert as best I could, snapped her onesie against her skin and put the diaper over it.  Such a rookie mistake.  It shortened our ride for sure.

Jack's wall of art

I finally got around to hanging Jack's art. He was very excited about it. Next year, Abby will get a row, he will get a row and the top will be for my favorites.

Sniffing

Jack has hit a milestone. Instead of letting his nose run down his lip, he has started sniffing.  At least it makes it easier to know when he needs a tissue.

Big guy

So today on the way home I asked Jack what he wanted to be when he grows up. His answer: "a big guy that cooks spicy food and cleans dirty dishes".  Sounds a lot like Dada. How cute is that?
